Walton on Thames Surrey Country Garden Design
The client had recently moved into a large new property with a generous front and rear garden that was mainly laid to lawn. An extensive brief included the integration of a swimming pool with contemporary studio as well as a new resin bound gravel drive. An extensive patio was created adjacent to the house allowing enough space for a large formal and informal outdoor seating and entertaining space. A contemporary Italian limestone was chosen as it contrasted well with the kitchen tiles allowing the internal and external to flow seamlessly together. This limestone was continued through to the pool surrounds and studio terrace integrating the separate areas together. The pool was offset against a new lush lawn bordered with sumptuous screening planting. Large flower beds were used to great effect softening the hard landscaping injecting the garden with colour and texture. A sweeping resin bound driveway was installed providing ample parking and softened with a formal planting scheme devised to enhance the entrance and reflect the style of the house. Mature evergreen oaks and yew topiary screened the client from neighbours view and created year round form and structure within the front and rear garden.
